Mission
The Lincoln Community Trust (LCT) is a non-profit organization created in 2023 by community members whose mission is to preserve and foster the things that make Lincoln Special. It is LCT's mission to focus broadly on strengthening, unifying and building the economic, cultural, educational and social services of our Lincoln community.
Our Projects
Our first project was to work with the Preservation Trust of Vermont to raise funds to purchase the Lincoln General Store. We assessed the project (engineers, architects, advisors and more) and successfully raised funds toward that goal. We projected a timeline and offered that to the current owners—along with the knowledge that there was an outside private sale option. This project is successfully now closed, and continues to thrive as the heart of our community.
Our second project focuses on providing a public bathroom—accessible to residents and visitors alike (and…happily including the children who participate in Lincoln Sports).
Our third project is formulating around the possibility to raise funds to provide for those in need in our community. We strongly realize the value and immediate need for resources.
Current dialogue and communication with of our charities, organizations and establishments are ongoing—and paramount in our success as a Community Trust.
